What is Concierge Primary Care?
Concierge medicine is a relationship between a patient and a primary care physician in which the patient pays an annual fee or retainer to receive additional time and attention from the physician.
What are the benefits of Concierge Primary Care?
Concierge Primary Care offers you several advantages over the way you have been experiencing health care:
- 24/7 access, via cell phone, directly to your primary care provider, except in times of unanticipated absences, illnesses, or other family emergencies.
- Extended office visits.
- Ease of scheduling and obtaining appointments with your provider.
- Your provider becomes your medical advocate. Making sure your care from your entire team of providers, whether they are cardiologists, endocrinologists, or naturopaths and homeopaths, is coordinated and works together. This means your provider serves as a “point guard”, communicating with the other team members and assuring you, as the patient, understand what your health issues are and what you need to do to maximize your health.
What fee do I pay for Concierge Primary Care? How does it work with my insurance?
Dr. Blanchard charges $1600.00/year for her concierge medical services. That fee is not covered by insurance.
Your insurance policy can be used for office visits and testing ordered by Dr. Blanchard, if she has “credentialed” with your insurance company. Dr.Blanchard plans to credential, or contract, with the following plans: Medicare, Medicaid, United Healthcare, Blue Cross, Tricare, and New Mexico Health Connections.
